A native Floridian, Ron and his family moved to the Lake Travis area twelve years ago from Orlando, Florida. He has worked in the electronic toll collection industry for nearly two decades and came to the Austin area to serve as the Director of Operations for the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. Ron has considerable experience in management and leadership in the electronic toll collection industry. He struck out on his own, starting Fagan Consulting in 2011. The firm is now a team of twelve with expertise in operations and systems. They contract with and work on behalf of toll facility operators/owners to oversee their toll system contracts and contractors. Ron’s experience includes project management, process improvement, operational analysis and customer service/contact center operations.
Before joining the toll industry, he served nine years active duty in the U.S. Army. Ron spent two years enlisted before participating in ROTC while pursuing his master's degree in Public Administration. He served seven years as a commissioned officer including participation in Desert Storm before resigning his commission in 1996 to pursue a civilian career.
While a lifelong Democrat, he was never politically active. However, like so many others recent election results drive the understanding that we need to unite for our communities and citizens. Ron’s interest in Lake Travis Progressives stems from his desire to participate locally with the belief that similar groups are working across the country to protect our values and our citizens. Ron and his wife Barbara, a native New Yorker, have one child, a daughter who is an 8th grader in the Lake Travis Independent School District.
